Snake Roundup – June 16th

June 16, 2018 Starting at 8:00am

Motor City Viper Owners will be teaming up with the Great Lakes Cobra Club and The Great American Thunderbird Club
• The morning starts at 8:00 at Lingenfelter’s Cars and Coffee (47451 Avante Dr, Wixom). We will be parking in the Avanti Motors parking lot across the street.
• After hanging out a bit, our friends at RM Motorsports (28294 Beck Rd, Wixom) have invited us over for a shop tour and presentation of their services and racing program. This is a very neat shop and a wonderful family.
• At 10:30 we will depart and cruise to Zukey Lake Tavern (5011 Girard Drive, Pinckney) for a buffet lunch. Click here for the menu.
• The cost for lunch is $20 per person. Taxes and tip are included in the total amount. Please click on the link below to signup and pay via PayPal.

Our friends at Zukey Lake are blocking off parking for us (same area as 2017). Route details will be provided prior to the event.

Exciting News! The Board approved a subsidy for the event and we thought the best way to share this, was to hold a raffle on the day of the event and pick 10 winners to receive their lunch for Free! Only one winner per Member Household.

The cutoff for registration is June 8th. Don’t delay sign up today!

2018 Spring Tech Day

About 14 members came out on a cool wet day, to talk cars at Bill Gill’s house. Many thanks to our very own Dave Buchesky, who gave a very interesting talk on his role and some of the decisions made on the Gen 1/Gen 2 suspensions.

Stahl’s Museum Tour and Lunch – July 7th

July 7, 2018, Starting at 11:00am

The Stahl Museum has over 80 cars on display ranging from the 1886 Daimler prototype to the muscle cars of the 1960s with special emphasis on the great cars of the 1930s and 1940s.

The Museum is home to a number of restored and operational automated musical instruments dating from the early 20th century. See and hear the gigantic Mortier 97 key dance organ built in Belgium in 1922.

The collection contains decades of gas pumps along with porcelain steel and neon signs from the 1920s, 30s, 40s, and 50s. Step back in time in a full-size diorama of a Big Boy restaurant where you can sit in a booth or at the counter and listen to the jukebox playing your favorite 50s hits!
• Our day will begin at 11am where we’ll meet in the main Stahl’s parking lot (56516 N Bay Dr.). The museum is open to the public, so if we’re unable to park together, they also have offered us their overflow lot on the south side of the building. Click here for directions.
• Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
• At around 12:30 – 1:00, we’ll caravan to lunch at New Baltimore’s famous Bad Brads BBQ (35611 Green St.). Members are responsible for their own bill. Click here for directions from Stahl’s.
• All we ask is that you click on the signup link below, so we can get an accurate count for planning.
