Our club is still grappling with how to resume holding events, as restrictions are lifted. The Board felt that a cancellation of the traditional Cruise Night, was necessary, while we looked at alternative venues.
Tim and Laura Schmitt stepped forward and offered their home and spacious backyard for a Cruise Night Alfresco. Members were encouraged to bring their own food, chairs, and dine outdoors. Everyone had a great time, while being safe. It was a perfect way to socialize but aware of each other’s wellbeing. We had a nice turnout for a Tuesday evening, with 17 in attendance and 10 Vipers.
We’d like to thank our hosts, Tim and Laura, along with our Coordinator, Bob Swartz, for coming up with this creative solution. Our Cruise Night Director, Rick Jakacki, is looking into an outdoor setting, for our July Cruise.
