Day Trippin’ to Gear Heads Delight #2 – August 13th

Join us Friday, 8/13, 10am Sharp for:
KA-Wood Gear & Machine
Madison Heights

Note that Gear Heads Delight  #1 is FULL *

For the “true gear head”, we have a tour you cannot miss!

The owner, Joe Kolka, has invited us to his 23,000 sq-ft facility.
Ka-Wood Gear manufactures precision products for a diverse range of industries including aerospace, mining, automotive, wind energy, and machine tool since 1920.

Ka-Wood, is a family shop, which can do small or large jobs; reverse engineer when no print or description is available; meet specialty requirements; and many other demanding tasks to fit the customer’s need.

Joe has some of the world’s most elaborate and exclusive machinery; all first class; some totally unique.

Please Note:
This event is limited to only 12 MCVO members at Joe’s request.

We encourage members who have an interest in this industrial type tour to sign up.
Conversely, significant others, guests and children who you feel wouldn’t enjoy a manufacturing tour may not be appropriate to invite.

Ka-Wood Gear is located at:
32500 Industrial Dr,
Madison Heights, Michigan
You may click here for directions.
If you would like more detailed information about Ka-Wood, prior to the tour, you may click here for their web site.

Following the tour we’ll enjoy a safe and delicious lunch at the Polish Century Club.
The Club is located at:
2975 E. Maple, Troy
You may click here for directions.
You may also click here to see their sample menu.

We ask that you please drive your Viper.
This way we can give Joe & his crew a little show of our own!
If that’s a problem give me a call and we’ll make an accommodation.

Masks:
While the state has relaxed mandates, as guests of these businesses, we will continue to respect the wishes of our hosts at both locations. Please be ready and willing to mask up.

Signup no later than 8/9 by clicking on the “Sign Up Now” button to Register.

*The July 23rd tour #1 is full. A few members, who are attending tour #1, have graciously agreed to switch to tour #2 if needed.  Please contact me if you need assistance.
