Friday, June 3rd is free admission day with public parking off-island and a shuttle ride onto the island.
Due to the lack of admission cost, a shuttle ride both ways promises’ to be less than optimal.
Our Motor Sports Director, Paul McClorey, has arranged for MCVO members to participate in the “on island” club corral.
The cost per car is $65 which admits everyone in the car.
You’re able to spend all day, enjoy one of Metro Detroit’s premier Car events, drive your Viper and know it’s parked safely in a reserved space.
(Being able to drive across the bridge in a line of track worthy cars isn’t too bad either!)
With continuous practice and qualifying sessions and open seating available in all grandstands, this promises to be a great “motor sports event.”
Attendees will enjoy access to all of the Grand Prix fan areas, including the Fifth Third Bank Paddock and the historic Scott Fountain – home of the Autotrader Winner’s Circle.
7:15am- meet at a location (to be determined) where Paul will distribute the parking passes.
7:30am- depart for the island
(Also, gates open for the event)
8:00am- First vehicles on the track
The event is open until 6pm and you may stay as long as you like.
This is a Viper-only event unless there is inclement weather, at which point the Grand Prix organizer will then allow daily drivers.
We must have a minimum of 20 vehicles for the corral.
If we don’t get the 20 paid signups, MCVO’s participation in the corral parking has to be canceled.
All monies collected would then be refunded.
Please do not wait, your registration is very important as time is limited.
The cutoff for signup and payment is May 27th.
Late signups cannot be allowed as Paul has to go pay and retrieve our credentials.
