2022 Fall Tech Day

The fall season is in full swing with a beautiful display of fall color.  Unfortunately, the weather can be a little unpredictable.  As we awoke to find the roads wet with some residual dew and sprinkles of rain, there was also a heavy fog and temps around 35 degrees.  Many of the attendees decided it was wise to leave their clean classics at home.

We did have a few members who braved the elements and our “most hardy” award going to Bob Swartz for driving his Gen 1 topless to the event.  We had a good turnout with 28 in attendance and 7 Vipers.

We were privileged to be one of the first public groups to hear about PMD’s new braking technology.  The “Atomic-Forged” process is a patented nano-surface treatment proprietary to PureForge that creates a super tough surface suited for all brake applications.  This treatment will extend rotor life up to 10x; extend pad life up to 5x; along with reducing brake fade & dust.

After the event, a subset of the group went to lunch at the Moose Preserve restaurant.

We want to thank our Motorsports Director, Paul McClorey, for setting up the event and getting up even earlier to pick up the MCVO-supplied refreshments.  We want to thank Gordon Heidacker, along with his team, at PMD Garage, for taking the time out of their busy schedules to host our group.  Lastly, our thanks to Ann Rappaport, for taking these great photos.
