Our Event Coordinator, Jon Block, has a full day planned for us.
We will meet in Troy, at the private Collection and Museum of one of our members, Greg Ornazian.
This collection of well over 100 spectacular cars is never open to the public!
This is a “not to be missed” tour.

The latest Supercars, Vipers, sports cars, heavy classics, Muscle, just the best of the best!
Greg is also a noted Concours Judge, judging at events across the country.
Plus he does much of the work on all of his cars.

After seeing everything, stick your eyes back in their sockets, because we’re headed to Camp Ticonderoga for lunch.
We’ll continue to the northern hinterlands of Oakland County, with a stop at Cook’s Dairy Farm to get some ice cream and pet the cows.

After enjoying ice cream the tour will continue on scenic roads through Holly and will get you back to the Pontiac area.

After Lunch – Jon will lead us to the famous Cook’s Dairy Farm, for ice cream…and to pet the cows!

After befriending the cows – The tour will then continue through Holly on more curved roads, and conclude in the Pontiac area around 3:30pm-ish.

Only by being a member of MCVO, do you have the opportunity to see this one-of-a-kind private collection, it is never opened to the public.

Fun in Toledo is possible!

Highlights-
~Caravan Cruise over mostly back roads stopping at Ft. Meigs for a guided tour.
~ Lunch, at the world’s renowned Tony Packo’s! A destination in itself.
~A short drive to the National Museum of the Great Lakes, the Col James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship and the Museum Tug Ohio.
The museum is jammed packed with lake-faring artifacts, mementos, dioramas, displays, and nautical information and stories.
Make time to get on-board the Col. Schoonmaker!  The public is able to tour the wheel house, galley, crews quarters, engine room, and the belly of the beast – an eerie cargo hold.  From bow to stern this is a wonderful sight to see and be part of.  When you’re done, stop at the Museum Tug Ohio, a bulk freighter.

The owner, Joe Kolka, has invited us to his 23,000 sq-ft facility.
Ka-Wood Gear manufactures precision products for a diverse range of industries including aerospace, mining, automotive, wind energy, and machine tool since 1920.

Ka-Wood, is a family shop, which can do small or large jobs; reverse engineer when no print or description is available; meet specialty requirements; and many other demanding tasks to fit the customer’s need.

Joe has some of the world’s most elaborate and exclusive machinery; all first class; some totally unique.

This event is limited to only 12 MCVO members at Joe’s request.

We encourage members who have an interest in this industrial type tour to sign up.
Conversely, significant others, guests and children who you feel wouldn’t enjoy a manufacturing tour may not be appropriate to invite.

RM Motorsports is an automotive shop that specializes in creating, maintaining, and preparing world class automobiles.  Founded in 1991 this working car shop has built a reputation of expertise, fine work, and fast cars.  RM Motorsports is not your average car shop. Within their doors you will find the rare, unique, and often one of a kind pieces of machinery.  They are the proud keepers of racing history, and excel at taking modern day technology and applying it to vintage automobiles.

We will be viewing their race shop, restoration facility, eclectic collection of vintage race cars and collectible iconic cars.

2021 Blue Water Cruising – September 18th


Ahoy Matey!

This event starts in Clinton Twp at I-94 and M-59.
We meet in the parking lot between Panera and Starbucks.
(M59/Hall Rd becomes William P. Rosso Rd.)

Our first stop will be the Junction Buoy Restaurant, located on the edge of the Saint Clair River, for lunch.  The parking lot is 4 feet from the river and has been reserved for MCVO.  It is fantastic when a freighter passes close by!  Lunch is on your own at this great restaurant which has seating inside or out.

After lunch we cruise to Port Huron for private, reserved parking at the Desmond Marine (Marina). There we board the Huron Lady II for a cruise on the Saint Clair River and out into Lake Huron.  The cruise includes a presentation about Port Huron and Sarnia’s history and the ship has a concession stand and restrooms.

Back on land, we cruise under the Blue Water Bridge to the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse on the Great Lakes.  A private, guided tour by the Museum staff has been arranged and those who enjoy climbing, can go to the top of the lighthouse!  All of the water from Lake Superior and Lake Michigan flow by this point!
MCVO is covering the cost of admission to the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse.

This looks to be an exciting day!

The group prices for the Huron Lady II cruise are $18.00/person.  Please click on the “Buy Tickets Now” button, below, to be taken to Paypal.  Once you have purchased your tickets we can lock in your reservation.  These cruises sell out quickly, typically many weeks in advance.

For that reason, the cutoff is July 25th.
