We would love to have all our members attend, but the Homestead no longer has available rooms.
The MCVO Wine Tour is the weekend of September 27, 28 and 29th.
68 people/35 cars responded “yes” to the “gauging interest” emails sent in February & March.
That’s a great response!
We assume everyone has already made lodging arrangements.
Most are staying at The Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor,
which is our base for the weekend.
The cost for this event is $145 per person and must be received by Thursday, September 5.
The $145 per person includes:
• Friday evening welcoming dinner on the way to The Homestead
• Saturday morning continental breakfast at The Homestead
• Saturday afternoon lunch
• Wine tasting fees at three wineries
• Saturday evening dinner
• Sunday morning brunch
• Tax and gratuities on all the meals AND extras!
• No alcoholic drinks are included in this fee but will be available for individual purchase at all of our eateries
The schedule has not been firmed up yet but generally speaking it will be:
• Friday, September 27:
o meet at a common point in the metro Detroit area for the majority of us to begin the caravan up to the Traverse City area
o stop for a late morning breakfast on the route
o proceed north as a group to dinner in the Traverse City area
o proceed to The Homestead to check in
• Saturday, September 28:
o begin the day with a continental breakfast at The Homestead
o depart The Homestead to begin our tour of the Leelanau peninsula wineries
o stop for lunch
o continue our tour
o stop for an evening dinner
o return to The Homestead
• Sunday, September 29:
o morning brunch
o depart the Traverse City area for home
